Abstract
A 37-item questionnaire was returned by 480 science teachers representing 326 school programs serving deaf students. Questions were asked about education, training and experience, and the quality of instructional materials, curriculum resources, and facilities. In an attempt to identify major needs in science education for deaf students, it was found that science is a highly neglected area of the curriculum in most school programs.
