Abstract
This paper aims to offer an ‘other-view’ of the relationship between myth and opera. With a transversal perspective, the major objective of this pages is to unravel some of the elements that can (or could) lead to a queer interpretation, referring to Perseus and Andromeda’s mythological plot re-elaborated by Jules Laforgue (Persée et Andromède, ou le plus heureux des trois, 1887) and Salvatore Sciarrino (Perseo e Andromeda, 1991).
