Abstract
Correct imaging and estimation of weld reinforcement is a special problem in radiography. Particularly the indications of flaws are overlaid by flaw-like structures of the weld surface while projecting into the film plane, which may yield misinterpretations of the radiographic image. It is shown, that the combination of the radiographic image and the corresponding topometric surface scan improves the reliability of the image interpretation.
