Abstract
In this paper, trying to avoid simplistic description of Schelling's ideas in Schopenhauer's philosophy, offers a reading of the latter as a follower and, at the same time, a critic of Schelling's views on nature. On the one hand, it shows how Schopenhauer shares Schelling's methods, concepts and goals cocnerning philosophy of nature. On the other hand, it shed light on the differnces emerging when Schopenhauer tires to connect philosophy of nature with metaphysics. In this respect, the paper points out how Schopenhauer's reading of Kant affects his own interpretation of Schelling.
