Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical reference of the definition of management as well as its characteristics and impact on the management function, from the perspective of various authors, educational management is updated over time, in addition to seeing it as a tool for improving educational quality contemplating continuous professionalization of the director. In particular, experiences are recovered from the Mexican public school, with the intention of making visible the diversity of strategic actions that are involved in the management function, which promotes the comprehensive development of the entire school community, consolidating a school culture in which the dialogue, interaction, collegiate work, as references considered in the educational reform of the New Mexican School.
