Abstract

Exposing Hidden Collections is very close to my heart because I was originally trained as an historian, an early American historian; and in doing both my undergraduate work and my graduate work, I was from the start a manuscript historian. I would guess that 90 percent of the materials I used in writing my dissertation were manuscript materials.
