Abstract

ABSTRACT This article is a critical analysis of the craft of poetry as seen through the eyes of the poet, and highlights the dynamics of the creative process. It focuses on chronic mental challenges in light of the philosophical implications of the implicate and explicate order as researched by Bohm, Pribram and others who attribute neurodivergence to an explicate awareness inherent in the consciousness. It details the craft of poetry through the examination of the psyche from a first person perspective, using the Pribram-Bohm Brain Hypothesis as supporting evidence in the author's creative process of composing innovative poetic forms.
