Abstract

Summary Mice infected with Schistosoma mansoni were immunized with a saline-solution extract of adult worms. Mortality in mice so immunized was compared with that in a control group of infected mice treated with saline solution. Mortality in the immunized group was about three times lower than in the nonimmunized mice.
