Abstract
The importance of software driven electronic devices, so-called embedded controllers, is steadily increasing. Cars with more than 50 embedded control units (ECUs) are easy to be found. Therefore, system and network integration is a major challenge and systematic analysis of the complex dynamic timing effects becomes key to building safe and reliable systems. More and more frequently, a new class of scheduling analysis tools is used for this purpose. Scope and performance of these tools are demonstrated using SymTA/S of Symtavision GmbH, Braunschweig, Germany.
