Abstract
Previous calculations of the total cross section of thermal neutrons in graphite were modified, taking into account contributions to neutron scattering only from the planes which gave x-ray reflections. Only 18 reflections of the expected 40 were obtained. Calculated results, using this method, coincided with the experimental points within 2%. (M.C.G.)
