Abstract

AbstractThis paper applies the collocation method to the modeling and simulation of scattering from a strip with the Dirichlet boundary condition on the upper interface and the Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions on the two subintervals along the lower interface. Green's theorem is used to reduce the mixed boundary value problem to the system of three coupled hypersingular and singular integral equations. The numerical results of the backscattering field characteristics are presented and compared with the high‐frequency approximations.
