Abstract
Kobayashi potential method has been used to derive mathematical expression for the far-zone scattered field from a cylindrical obstacle buried in dielectric half space. Linearly polarized electromagnetic plane wave has been used as source of excitation. Geometry of the problem has been taken non-integer dimensional (NID) in direction normal to the interface separating two half spaces. Asymptotic contribution of multiple interactions between the buried obstacle and NID-dielectric interface has been taken into account for the far-zone scattered field.
