Abstract
A 48-year-old female presented with 1 year of hair loss and scalp pruritus with crusting, drainage, and gradual expansion of the areas of alopecia. Physical exam demonstrated plaques of scarring alopecia with overlying yellow crusting scattered across the scalp with the largest on the central parietal scalp (Fig 1). She also had a rim of hyperpigmentation on the right frontal scalp and a hyperpigmented plaque on the nasal root. Past medical history is significant for uveitis. Punch biopsies of the parietal scalp and forehead were performed (Figs 2 and 3).
