Abstract
Summary Three cases of scalp avulsion are presented. An attempt was made to restore hair growth by utilising the avulsed scalp in the form of full-thickness grafts of postage-stamp size and “deep” split-skin grafts containing part of the hair follicles. In spite of good take and rapid epithelialisation no hair growth was achieved.
