Abstract

The normalized inclusive single-hadron production cross section of negatively charged hadrons, $\frac{(\frac{d\ensuremath{\sigma}}{\mathrm{dx}})}{{\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{0}}$, is computed from the existing hadron-production data of $\mathrm{pp}$; collisions. Scaling-violation behavior is observed in $\frac{(\frac{d\ensuremath{\sigma}}{\mathrm{dx}})}{{\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{0}}$; the scaling-violation pattern is qualitatively similar to that observed in ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ annihilation and is also comparable in magnitude.
