Abstract

Infrared divergences owing to electron-pseudospin scattering are considered for an interaction matrix ∥ I∥ of a general form. It is shown that, except for a special degenerate case, the strong coupling regime occurs, and the corresponding crossover energy (“Kondo temperature”) is calculated. In the case det∥ I∥ > 0, the effective coupling constants behave non-monotonically during the renormalization process, which may result in a non-monotonic temperature dependence of the resistivity.
