Abstract

A brief account is given of the application of dimensionless analysis to scale model roadway tests and a description is given of the model rig and associated equipment used to study strata movement around mine roadways and of the properties of the model material employed. Some preliminary results are given of an investigation to determine the dependence of roadway closure upon rock strength.
