Abstract

The most widespread image tampering techniques is copy move forgery. The block based and key-point matching based methods have been proposed for the detection of copy-move image forgery. The key-point based method performs better than the block based methods in terms of computational efficiency, space complexity and it is robust against various geometric transformations such as scaling and rotation. In this paper, an important keypoint based method Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) is reviewed.
