Abstract
Scaling violations in charmed quark fragmentation functions and in the charmed meson contents of the gluon and light-quark jets are studied by using the Altarelli-Parisi equations. A parametrization of theQ2 dependent fragmentation functions is obtained by fittinge+e− charmed meson production data. Charmed meson distributions in high transverse momentum jets at hadron colliders and their implicatios are also investigated.
