Abstract

This study analyzed the factor structure and the psychometric properties of the Romanianversion of the Work-Family Conflict Scale (Carlson, Kacmar & Williams, 2000). Two studies wereconducted (N1=275; N2=424) for verifying, on one hand, factor structure and the psychometricproperties of the scale, and, on the other hand, to evaluate the discriminative validity andrelations with variables of interest. The results confirmed the six-factor structure of the originalscale and also aspects of the discriminative validity. Relations with variables representingattitudinal and organizational consequences were analyzed and theoretical and practicalimplications were presented
