Abstract

Lee et al1 have provided a summary of published reports regarding emergency ligation of the brachial artery in the setting of an infected upper arm brachial origin hemodialysis access. The data indicate that brachial artery ligation without repair is well tolerated when performed in the distal upper arm or antecubital area.
