Abstract
In this paper, we prepared zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) nanomaterials through the liquid-phase exfoliation method and investigated its nonlinear saturable absorption property at ∼ 3 µm by Z-scan and I-scan method. As a saturable absorber (SA) in the Er:Lu2O3 laser (2.85 µm), the materials show excellent passively Q-switched performance. Under the maximum pump power of 7.3 W, 256-ns laser pulses were delivered at repetition rate of 140-kHz, which corresponds to an average output power of 0.9 W. The experimental results indicated that the ZIF-67 SA is a potential SA candidate in passively Q-switched laser at ∼ 3 µm.
