Abstract

In the November 1989 issue of TLE, we discussed some of the history of the Magsat satellite mission and plans to conduct a survey of magnetic field users to determine their experience with, and evaluation of, Magsat data. In addition, we wanted to ascertain how satellite data from possible future missions might be made more useful. We were particularly interested in querying the exploration community, but some academic and governmental researchers were included for comparison. This note presents the results of our survey.
