Abstract
Virtually cloud‐free space images of all parts of the 48 conterminous United States have been taken by NASA's Earth Resources Technology Satellite (Erts 1) and are now available for public sale.Erts 1 was launched on July 23, 1972, and although it was designed to last only one year, it is still sending back picture images. Erts 2 is scheduled for launching in 1975.
