Abstract

Fiji has a high rate of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), estimated at 750-938 per million population (pmp), with chronic kidney disease currently the fourth leading cause of death. While haemodialysis (HD) is available as the primary form of renal replacement therapy (RRT), access is limited to those who can afford it. Currently no unified process for data collection regarding ESKD treatments and outcomes exists. We aim to describe the dialysis population in Fiji and document important clinical outcomes.
