Abstract

Sarocladium oryzae , the sheath rot pathogen of rice, has been isolated in Bangladesh repeatedly from Bambusa spp. showing symptoms of blight, and on several occasions from healthy bamboo. The fungus has been obtained from bamboo leaf litter from India.
