Abstract

Background: The management of sarcomas of the jaws remains a challenge in the field of head and neck oncology. The difficult diagnosis often causes a poor prognosis and high mortality. As sarcomas comprise less than 1% of all head and neck malignancies, there are no prospective, randomized-controlled trials to guide management.
