Il est rare qu’un meme nom d’artisan soit present sur plusieurs inscriptions monumentales de l’Iran medieval. Or, S. Aube a releve trois fois dans la Grande mosquee de Yazd celui d’un certain Kamāl, calligraphe signant des panneaux ou des frises, et l’a retrouve, quoique decline sous deux autres variantes, a Taft et a Ispahan.
