Abstract

Sample collection of selected acid vapors from air is reported. Known concentrations of various inorganic and organic acid vapors were generated and collected on solid sorbent tubes containing Chromosorb P impregnated with sodium carbonate. The analytes were desorbed with distilled water and analyzed via conventional analytical methods. Laboratory data are presented with mean recoveries ranging from 88 to 103%. A comparison is made between field samples collected by impingers and tubes.
