Abstract
The avoidance of noxious emission is one of the most important tasks in engine and vehicle development. Through impressive innovations, automotive engineering has made great progress in developing engine and exhaust aftertreatment technology. The future generation of emission limits will make it mandatory to use advanced exhaust after-treatment systems on all types of engines. The company AVL List GmbH reacts to this situation by providing equally advanced emission measurement systems for exhaust components. These systems will deliver the additional data that is required for the development of modern engine concepts and will also operate under more difficult sampling conditions.
