Abstract In this article, the focus will be on sample size calculation based on a continuous study endpoint for comparing means (i.e., treatment effects) under some study designs. These designs include parallel designs, crossover designs, titration designs, and enrichment designs (2). Among these designs, parallel designs and crossover designs are probably the two mostly commonly used designs.
