He is author of The Birth of Theory (2014), which is the first of a three-volume work, of which the forthcoming Foundations of the Dialectic and the subsequent Unmodernism are a part. His essays on dialectics, idealism, materialism, and the histories of philosophy and theory appear in Artforum, PMLA, October, Problemi, the minnesota review, representations, Crisis and Critique, and elsewhere.
