Abstract

Things are moving quickly with the mobile methadone units, approved by the federal government as of July 28 On Aug. 4, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Director Miriam E. Delphin‐Rittmon, Ph.D., wrote to all state substance abuse directors (the single state authorities who run the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment [SAPT] block grants) that mobile methadone units of opioid treatment programs (OTPs) are not only sanctioned but wholeheartedly supported.
