Abstract

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has named Monica S. Johnson, M.A., LPC as the new director of SAMHSA's 988 & Behavioral Health Crisis Coordinating Office. Johnson has worked in the behavioral health field for 26 years and most recently served as the interim commissioner for the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities DBHDD). Prior to that role, she served in other positions for DBHDD, including as division director of the agency's division of behavioral health, community mental health director, and child and adolescent mental health director.
