Abstract

The rule that patients can only get $75 a year as part of contingency management (CM) treatment is, in fact, nonexistent, as of last year's ruling by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) (see “CM for stimulant use disorder: No limit imposed by OIG,” ADAW Nov. 8; https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/adaw.33255). However, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) still has that rule for all of its funding.
