Abstract
Below is information from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) on guidance for opioid treatment programs (OTPs) on exemptions from the take‐home regulations. The exemptions continue for one year beyond the end of the COVID‐19 emergency. It ended on May 11, 2023. So OTPs can continue to provide flexible take‐homes to methadone patients, providing the appropriate criteria (listed below) are met.
