Abstract

Sameer Jauhar is a clinician researcher fascinated by the biology of psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The psychiatry rotations at medical school at Glasgow University convinced him he could make more of a difference in psychiatry than neurology, and today he is senior clinical lecturer in affective disorders and psychosis at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience (IOPPN) at King's College, London and consultant psychiatrist in early intervention in psychosis at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK.
