Abstract

ABSTRACTMultidisciplinary management may offer alternative therapeutic strategies in patients. Bone-seeking radiopharmaceuticals offered alongside traditional approaches to analgesia may be useful in the treatment of metastatic bone pain. A case of metastatic bone pain in which 153Sm-lexidronam therapy was used is presented. Minimal side effects, as well as a reduction in opioid use (via patient-controlled analgesia), were observed in this case.
