Abstract

Neonatal meningitis due to Salmonella is uncommon in the developed world. We report a case of Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis (S enteritidis) meningitis in a 4-day-old, which is believed to have been indirectly transmitted from a pet reptile in the home.
