Abstract

Salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) is a distinct but rarely reported clinicopathological entity arising in the ductal epithelium of the salivary glands. This high-grade malignancy shares similar histopathological features with infiltrating duct carcinoma of the breast. SDC was established as a distinct clinicopathological entity and was delineated from adenocarcinoma in 1991 by the World Health Organization. The purpose of the article is to report a case of salivary duct carcinoma arising from a major salivary gland in a male patient.
