Abstract

It has been said that art often occurs from the process of interaction between the artists and their expression. Similar relationship exists among analyst, data, visualization, and visualized result. Therefore, there exists a kind of art that is created from scientific/ information visualization, even it is created by some chance. We consider this type of art belongs to the scientific art. By the way, artists' subjectivity (experience and knowledge) influences the interaction process. For example, in the case of the artists have much knowledge in the aspect of physics or mathematics, the resultant images often give a serious impression to audience. We have proposed a methodology for creating a scientific art by means of applying attention point analysis to an image processing. In this paper, we enrich our work of art by enhancing the previous method with a saliency map that represents the characteristic regions obtained according to a human recognition process.
