Abstract

Using the symplectic system method, the classical Saint-venant problems in elasticity are studied. Based on the Laplace transformation and integral transformation and the symplectic character, all the Saint-Venant solutions, including the tension, bending and local solutions, are obtained. The final solution of the problem can be directly analysed in the time domain solution space. As applications of the proposed method, some stress concentration boundary condition problems are discussed.
