Abstract

The cloud-point pressures in poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) and poly(ethylene-co-hexene-1) binary, ternary, and quaternary solutions containing the comonomer, ethylene, and inert components are correlated using the SAFT equation of state. SAFT is found to account for the antisolvent effects of N 2 and CO 2 as well as for the cosolvent effects of n-butane, vinyl acetate, and 1-hexene in the range of 393-493 K.
