Abstract

Introduction: During the COVID-19 pandemic, NHS recommended a move from face-to-face clinics to telephone appointment. Subsequently, ENTUK issued a recommendation of the utilisation of the ORLHealth head-and-neck cancer risk score to aid the decision-making process in telephone clinics. ENTUK estimated a 1.4% chance of missing cancer. In this study, we reviewed the safety of telephone clinic for urgent 2-week wait cancer referrals.
