Safety of measles vaccination to the patients with down syndrome on the chromosomal level.

Abstract

The frequencies of SCES in cultured lymphocytes from the patients with DS and the normal controls were compared between before and after measles vaccination. The present observation revealed no significant difference in SCE between before and after vaccination, in either the DS patients or the controls in the corresponding time. The results presented, together with some immunological data, suggest a necessity to reconsider the possibility and efficiency of measles vaccination to the DS patients.
