Abstract

Biosafety of commonly used insecticides was evaluated on Trichogramma chilonis Ishii. Immature and adult stages were exposed at the recommended field dosages. Chlorantraniliprole, indoxacarb and pyridalyl were found harmless to adults (IOBC-class-1, 99% mortality). Against immature stages (inside the host eggs) insecticides though showed toxicity, none was found harmful.
