Abstract
Background As oil refining industry is presented generally by the hazardous production facilities possessing constant fire and potential of explosion, issues of safety production increasing become more and more relevant every year. This is due to the fact that, on the one hand, the main production assets are becoming obsolete every year, on the other hand, new technologies are being introduced, regulatory and technical documentation is changing. All these factors require special attention to safety and to bring it in line with modern requirements. So safety at explosion and fire hazardous industrial facilities is a necessary and integral element of production management. One of such objects is bitumen production installation. Bitumen in Russia and abroad is the largest tonnage type of petroleum products. Production of roofing materials, use in the production of paints and varnishes, use in the construction and repair of roads, as well as in civil and industrial construction - all this constitutes a large range of possible use of bitumen. The tightening of requirements for the quality of bitumen and an increase in the consumption of road bitumen leads to the need to modernize and increase the capacity of technological processes for bitumen production and the need to reconstruct equipment to bring it up to date and produce oxidized bitumen. Along with changes in production technology, there are issues of increasing industrial safety, as well as minimizing the risks of emergency situations during the operation of these facilities. Aims and Objectives Consider the possibility of improving the safety of bitumen production by improving the design of a gas-liquid reactor. Results Improving safety at oil refineries facilities implies the preventing of accidents causes. Questions of design improvement of a reactor used in of the oxidized bitumens production for safety increase of installation operation are considered.
