Abstract
Steel wire rope is widely used in ship mechanical equipment. Due to various reasons, steel wire ropes often suffer from different types and degrees of damage during use. Its safety is directly related to the normal operation of ship mechanical equipment and the safety of human life. Firstly, this paper analyzes the damage types and characteristics of naval steel wire rope and its influence on the strength and stress performance of steel wire rope. Aiming at the broken wire, wear and corrosion damage of steel wire rope, this paper puts forward the reliability evaluation system of steel wire rope based on safety factor, namely static safety factor and dynamic safety factor. On this basis, some research suggestions on the replacement and scrapping of ship wire ropes are given, which can not only reduce the waste of resources, but also ensure the safe and reliable operation of the wire ropes, which has important military and economic value.
