Abstract
Educational institutions are now required to provide reasonable accommodation for all qualified students who wish to pursue advanced education in chemistry and other laboratory sciences. A major concern for educators of handicapped students is safety. This article presents evidence of the commendable safety records of handicapped individuals, and focus on laboratory safety practices and legal responsibilities concerning disabled students and their educators.
