Abstract

Sternal precautions usually restrict upper limb use for 1–6 weeks and resistance training for 6–12 weeks, impacting postoperative recovery. This study investigated the safety and feasibility of upper-limb resistance exercise commencing 2 weeks after cardiac surgery.
